1) Tom Arnold (Rosanne’s Ex) played McHale in the movie version of “McHale’s Navy”.

2) Mimi Rogers (Tom Cruise’s Ex) played Dr. Maureen Robinson in the movie version of “Lost in Space”. (The character wasn’t a Doctor on TV. She was just a house wife…er… spaceship wife…whatever.)

3) Kevin Kline (Phoebe Cates’ ongoing) played Secret Service Agent Artemus Gordon.

4) Shelley Long played Carol Brady in the movie version of “The Brady Bunch”, no one yet has played Diane Chambers in the movie version of “Cheers”.

5) Jim Varney (of Ernest – “Hey Vern!” fame) played Jed Clampett in the movie version of “The Beverly Hillbillies”. Oh, and Cloris Leachman was the Oscar winner who played a Clampett, Granny.

Movie to TV Characters (Part II)

1) Inger Stevens (“Hang ‘Em High” and that classic hitchhiker episode of “The Twilight Zone”) played Katrin Holstrom in the TV show “The Farmer’s Daughter.”

2) David Soul (yes, Hutch of “Starsky and…”) played Rick in the TV’s “Casablanca” but didn’t quite overshadow Bogie.

3) Matt Frewer (Max Headroom himself) provided the voice for Lloyd in the cartoon based on “Dumb and Dumber”.

4) Okay, I cheated a bit here. The character James Farentino played in the TV series “Blue Thunder” was called Frank Chaney, but it was the same character as Frank Murphy from the film.

5) Michael Biehn (“The Teminator”, “Aliens”) played Chris in the TV version of “The Manificent Seven”.
